Life
2007 so far has been filled with changes for my family - bought a bigger house, got a puppy (our first family pet) and went back to the workforce part-time. Our little girl just turned 2 last month, and our 8-yr old son has adjusted so well to 3rd grade. My husband's contracting (residential building) business is doing well. We didn't anticipate the real estate market and lending industry to belly up, so we now have 2 houses and carrying 2 mortgages! enjoying it. I never thought I would be a stay-at-home for as long as I got to do it, and I thank God everyday for making it possible to do so. Spending time with my kids has been such a blessing and so much fun. I'm so thankful that I can still volunteer at my son's school because he loves seeing me there. We got our English yellow lab puppy when he was 7 weeks old. His name is Duke, and he's adorable. He's really our third child. Our daughter taunts him mercilessly, but he seems to not mind it, thank goodness. Our family life in Santa Barbara is full, and we couldn't ask for a better place to live and raise our kids.
