Crystal's Story
I would love to see Ms. Johnson again. She inspired me with her conjugation of the verb "be" and I have used that exercise many times in my classroom, each time, thinking of her. I worked for 12 years in the Bahamas within the Ministry of Education and co founded a non profit special education program called Exceptional Education Outreach for children of the island (eeobahamas.org). "Faith and Fitness", a branch of the Randolph County Caring Communities Partnership. I also work for a local branch of the YMCA in membership services. My own personal project is a program that allows communication and information exchanges between children in classrooms in both the U.S. and The Bahamas. Now the center of my life is my son, grammy and my mother. In this life I've learned that the greatest rewards come from sacrifice and I have no regrets.
