Crystal's Story
My husband and I have a new additions to our family. Our son was born November 22, 2011, Jacob Lee Razwick.
He was 7lbs1oz, 21.25in. by c-section. He has 3 half brothers and 2 half sisters. Everything else is pretty much the same. Updated on 12/17/2011.
When I graduated from Valhalla in June 1991, I was 6 months pregnant with my first child, Erika Marie, who is now 19 years old, she attends Cuyamaca Community College 2nd year, and graduated from El Capitan High School in 2009. She is engaged to get married 8/13/2013. I attended Cuyamaca Community College starting in 1992. While there I gave birth to my second child during spring break 1995, Nathaniel Robert, who is now 15, and is attending El Capitan High School, he is a sophmore on the JV football team, and will graduate in 2013. I transfered from Cuyamaca in 1997 to attend SDSU. While working for BD Biosciences from 2000-2007, I graduated in 2003 with my BS in Chemistry wtih an emphasis in Biochemistry. I moved from Jamul in 1994 to Lakeside, and from Lakeside to El Cajon in 2008. I was married 10/15/2006 to my husband Randy. Just 3 months after my father died from COPD/emphasyma and a heart attack. My son(11y/o) walked me down the isle, while my family and friends gave me away. Our wedding party was made up of all children. His 2 sons stood in for him, my daughter and his daughter stood in for me, and my 2 nephews and niece were the ring bearers and flower girl, and my older nephew was the flower girls escort, she was only 2y/o. It was such a non serious ceremony, but was beautiful and fun, with northisland, coronado bridge and san diego skyline in the background lite up by a beautiful sunset. We had the entire building to ourselves in Point Loma. I must say planning it by myself with a bridal party all under 15y/o was a bit of a challenge, with only 6 months. I tried to plan it so my father could attend, he had been sick for many years and had finally started feeling better, but we lost him very suddenly. He was only 55y/o, that's what smoking/drugs will do to you.
I left BD in 2007 and started working at Advanced Biohealing, both companies are located in La Jolla. In 2008 after a fall at my company, it cause my back problems to get worse. of cartiledge and my spine was not lined up correctly, when I fell, it broke my back, and within a year it had slipped so far I had intermittent paralysis and could not walk. I had to have surgery the first of which was 7/1/08. I found out within a year that I had another congenital defeact that did not allow me to have bone growth so my spine did not fuse. I had to have a second surgery on 6/30/2009, and wear a PEMF belt for 9 months to ensure that the bone would grow and fuse, which did work. But due to the surgeries and pain managment. I can't function without pain meds and the amount of bone growth has caused me to have nerve damage which affects my legs and feet. I also developed fibromyalgia, which is annoying and painful. Due to all this my last job laid me off on 11/14/2008, what a crock. I lost all my medical and can't get any help with meds, drs, or other opinions for help. I have been bedridden for 2.5 years and addicted to some of the strongest pain meds available, which I have weaned myself off of in the last 3 months, its been hell. I am only able to use the rest room and bath with help. I feel helpless, and it is the most irritating time of my life. I hope to see a doctor that performs laser spine surgery and can help remove the bone growths that are inhibiting my ability to lead a normal life. I am trying to use as little pain med as possible. But it is just so difficult to move without it. If anyone has any info that could help me it would be very much welcomed.
And I don't suggest open spine surgery to anyone that can avoid it, try laser surgery if qualified. I didn't qualify due to my conditions. But may now be able to use it just for the bone spurs.
My sister Lora is engaged has two sons will be getting married in 2 years and lives in spring valley. She is working as a counselor with children, toward her MFC certification and masters degree in MFC. My brother Charlie has been married for 11 years to his HS sweetheart Dawn, they have 3 kids two boys and a girl and live in campo. He is still an auto mechanic in El Cajon, and hangs out with all his same friends as in high school. My mother is doing well since my fathers death, and is still working for Cuyamaca College at the Library. She has been living in El Cajon for the last 13 years.
