Crystal's Story
Life
Met my husband, Terry Krueger, in Oct '90, got engaged in Jan '91, & married on Aug 21 '92. Bought our first home in May '92. Sold that home & bought another in Dec '93. We have 2 sons... Joshua born May '98 and Jared born Mar '01. Our family has lived with Terry being activated with his WI Nat'l Guard unit from Tomahawk/Rhinelander in Mar '03 through his return in Apr '04. He served in Iraq near Talill Air Force Base. My proudest moment was Oct '04 when I donated 2 locks of hair 12" long each to "Locks of Love" and additional donations in Nov '06, Oct '08, Jun '10, Jun '12 & Nov '14. Then I separated from my husband on January 31, 2013 due to his PTSD from Iraq. Filed for divorce on July 30, 2013. Divorce finalized... September 10, 2015! Took my maiden name back... for my own piece of mind!
School
Going to Stratford WI public school from K-10 was good & bad. The good times were spent with friends and in sports, like cros...Expand for more
s country & track. The bad included a few guys teasing me back then. Then my life changed drastically when my family moved to Merrill WI and attended public school there for 11-12. Going from a graduating class of 68 to a graduating class of 298 was a big eye opener. Making new friends in Merrill was a wonderful experience. My grades improved drastically also. I wasn't teased & bullied like I was in Stratford. My grades went from C's & D's to B's & A's. I graduated in the top 25% of my class in Merrill with a 3.18 GPA!
Military
Joined the Army Reserve in Dec '87. The unit assigned was the 205th Support Battalion in Fort Snelling, MN. Later the unit was renamed the 406th AG Co with the 4th Army. My career in the Army Reserve was cut short due to military injury incurred during my last week in basic training at Fort Dix, NJ. I finally got medically discharged in Oct '90 just 2 weeks before my unit was activated for Desert Storm.
