Life The day after graduation from West Side in 1970, my mother, sister and I moved to Arlington, VA, where my mother and I worked for the U.S. Army in the Pentagon (Mother's office was located in the area where the plane struck in the 9/11 terrorist attack). We moved to Independence, MO about a year later to be closer to my mother's family. I left Independence in 1972 to go to college in Southern California where I met and married my kids' dad. I lived there 18 years before returning to Independence, MO. We had three children, a girl, then two boys. My daughter and youngest son are in their 20s. My older son died on 8/13/2004 in a motorcycle accident at the age of 20. My daughter is the mother of my grandson, Aaron who was born in 2002. My son is father to 3 girls, Zoey (2013), Shea (2016) and Mia (2020). I worked in the IT field for over 25 years, both as a system administrator and a consultant to non-profit organizations, including public transportation and public libraries. I love to read, mess with my computer, take walks, listen to all kinds of music (particularly classical or jazz), and spend lots of time with grandchildren.
