Cynthia's Story
Life
Decided my other bio was too depressing. I have gone thru a lot in my life, but thanks to doctors and meds, I'm stronger now and looking forward to living my life again. not just existing. I'm thankful to God for the 30 years of unconditional & true love I had w/my late husband. I thank God for my three wonderful children, and most of all for my three spectacular grandchildren. Hoping Michael will be getting married to his Miss Molly, I'll have more grandchildren to look forward to. I sure have learned a lot in my 55 yrs. especially what is important and what you thought was important. My priorities are right where they should be. I hope all of you dear clasmates are doing well. It would be nice if you dropped me a line. Does anyone even remember me? Gob Bless You All!

Workplace
While attending Alvernia, the Social Security Admin. came to our school to the typing class. They tested us and placed each girl they picked with a job they thought suited them best. I don't know how they knew it, but I was taught to be a, DON'T LAUGH!, keypunch operator. Punched those little holes in the IBM cards. If there was anything I loved, it was keying. Married Mike 5-15-1971. For a while, both of us worked for the CNA Ins. Co. Took time off to start our family. From 1986-1996 I worked for Memorial Hospital in Woodstock, IL as a computer operator and ran the nightly shutdown, also helping the nursing stations when they ran into problems. ed an accident that took my mom's life 2 weeks later)I'm pretty much a no brainer, literally. I received 8 shock treatments that took away a lot of my memory and also left me with short term memory loss. Of course, depression too. I now collect social security disability. Mine and half of my late husbands. Life is good though. I believe in God's will.
1. That my husband and I married so young, but it lasted till death. He was 19, and I was 20.(no, I wasn't pregnant). We waited 2 yrs.
2. Sister Borgia....If I'm recalling correctly, she was the cutest little nun on the block. You could take her home and put her on a shelf.
3. God forgive me...a friend and I stole peoples lunches all the time. They were very good!
4. Don't have a clue.
5. As being a person with morals, humor and lots of love to give.
6. I would be in my husband's arms again...feeling loved and safe.
7. I never thought at 57 yrs. old, I would feel like a widowed orphan.
8. I would thank my dad for turning into the loving father I'd always wanted. It didn't happen until he retired, but I did have 8 wonderful years with a daddy that said he loved me.
9. One where I was hired as a data entry operator, but all they had me do was put books together. Didn't last long at all.
10. My first 25 yrs. in Chicago. We didn't want to bring our kid's up in the city, so we moved to Round Lake Beach for ten years. That area started to go down, so we moved to Marengo, IL, and I've lived here ever since. Going on 22 years now.
