Life
I went to work for the Commonwealth of MA after graduation, learned computer operations and telecommunications troubleshooting on the job. Went to work for Digital Equipment in 1980. Married and divorced (1980) a Somerville '72 grad, met my present husband in 1983. Started UMass/Boston 1984, got married in 1985, had a son in 1986 and another i...Expand for more
n 1989. Finally got my degree in History & American Studies in 1994! I have been working part-time for university computing facilities since 1984, first UMass, then Harvard, and have been at MIT for 12 years.
Older son (the engineer!) is graduating from RPI, younger is at Georgetown. Just sold the empty nest
and looking forward to new adventures.
