After high school, I went to SMCC for 2 years. I have one child. Still live on the South Side and just enjoy every day with my family.
School
The teacher that inspired me the most and made the greatest impact on my life would have to be Mrs. Myers. She was my English Honors teacher for sophomore and senior year. High school was pretty tough to get through. Not the classes, but trying to put on a happy face when I felt like I was dying inside was really hard. me through all the crap of being a teenager. Family seemed to suck at that time and despite the outward "I don't care about anything" attitude, I was really a wreck. Thanks to Mrs. Myers and her projects for English, I was able to deal with and get rid of most of my hang ups.
Workplace
So K-Mart has become my fall-back job. I work there part time, it helps pay the bills. I don't want a full time job, because I don't want to leave my son in some crappy day care.
Kids
I've learned that you never really know what love is until you have a child. There isn't anyone in this world that has made such an impact on my life, but my son. He has taught me to be a better person in so many ways.
