Cynthia's Story

Well, I started my life earlier than most of us. I married Jim Davis in the summer of 1976 (yes, between 9th and 10th). I was 14 and him 19. Our daughter arrived on our 6 month anniversary, suprise, suprise. We had a son 17 months later. We were now a family of 4, and I was only 16. We had a great marriage for the first 12 years or so and then the road became rocky, and it was better that we went our seperate ways. We were married for a total of 14 years and 6 months to the day. I then became a single mom, started going to NEC to get an accounting degree and also working 3 jobs, (a daytime secretary and a nighttime bartender at 2 different establishments) all to support my two children. It was fun but also hard. After 8 years and a couple of ...Expand for more
failed relationships I met Frank Carrion, my husband to be. We dated for 4 years then lived together for 3 years before we married in May of 2002. We have been married now for over 7 years and together for more than 14 years. We have a great marriage. My children have since grown and have families of thier own. I am a grandmother of 5,(4 girls and 1 boy, ages 11-2). After working at Cache creek casino for 14 years I am now a childcare provider for my grand-children. I love it, even though sometimes they drive me nuts. Frank now has over 20 years with the sheriffs dept. and plans on staying for another 10. All in all, my life has turned out just like I always thought it would, with a few special friends, a loving family, and a husband that I adore.
