Cynthia's Story

Follow up: Writing here, in this way, may not be for some the best place to sing of my joy but I do so for the praise and glory of His name. What? Well, when I wrote my story below, I did so with the greatest of care, thinking that my purpose had been fulfilled. But by the Power of God ... I was ... Wrong! Today as I sit before you filled with the Love of Jesus and with a heavy indwelling of the Holy Spirit, I come from another place. No longer living the life of someone else, infiltrated with and by the forces of the natural, in illness and abandon, He has taken me from the valley to Victory and the thunder of his Love has made me whole. I remember in youth being a kind of Jesus freak. Bell bottom blue jeans and saddle oxford shoes, though I never walked the walk, in my randomness I thought about Him. As a believer of sorts, in and out of His Kingdom like the revolving door at Hudson's, salvation for eternity would not come to me this way, not even through my good works. Connected to the trappings of the natural, I couldn't give way to HIm. I didn't know how. Now He guides me to pray for others and in my craft to write for Jesus by the power of Holy Spirit for the Glory of our God and His call for the truth in these difficult days. Today, I pray for you. If you don't know Him than I pray that he show you Himself right now. That right now you feel His tear falling into your heart. He is waiting for believers and non-believers alike. We need you, warriors, for the battle is upon us and the Kingdom is near. In the stillness of your day, may you hear the whisper of His voice and know the relevance of His presence in your life. Remember every time you feel Love,...Expand for more
it is God's spirit LIVING WITHIN YOU, supernaturally. I will pray for you today ... right now I will pray. Hello Classmates! It is time for Catch Up and a Commercial It is 2009-38 years since our high school graduation. Somehow it doesn't seem fathomable. I look in the mirror and definitely "see" through changed eyes, a person recognizable. The core in me remains, however a major change has taken place in the smallest of details. Living life often means going with the flow, or making waves, or even slipping into unconsciousness. I have been and done all three in those 38+ years and more recently, much more. I have just completed a memoir which is being offered through Silver Lining Publishing (.com), Barnes and Noble, Waldenbooks/Borders, Amazon and at fine book stores everywhere. It is a story of creation and crisis, of familial turmoil and homophobia, sex, drugs, suicidal ideation and survival. It is about aging, and care giving, and commitment. It is, what I believe to be the quintessential moments of lost and found. I would be blessed to have readers from every walk of life read my book. The genre is self-help/psychology and it is a life story, a journey in format, textbook like for understanding, with a dash of comedic sarcasm to cover the pain. Today I am a daughter, a sister, a wife, and mother, a grandmother, a care giver, a friend. Over the years, I keep learning the same lesson, it's all about LOVE. Sometimes I drive through the old neighborhood and reminisce about those crazy daze, and I am greatful. Hope to see you on iVillage.com. That's where you'll find me next.
