I moved to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1979. I love it here - the weather is mild all year long, and the views are stunning. I live half-way between San Francisco and San Jose - and just a 1/2 hour scenic drive over the Santa Cruz mountains to the Pacific Ocean. I returned to school as a "mature" woman and got my masters in English Literature/Creative Writing. I immediately began teaching English at San Francisco State for the next 6 years. I've been teaching English, primarily to ESL students from all over the world, previously at Menlo College and others, and for the past 13 years at DeAnza College in Cupertino, CA..
