HEY, how is everyone out there from the class of 1972?
It has been awhile, but I was curious enough to check out classmates.com. Wondered if there was any interesting, crazy, or unusual news that happened to people in our graduating class.
I have been married for a "short" 28 years. Ha, anybody that thinks that's easy, think again. Actually, looking back- I'm pretty sure I'd do it over again (Pretty sure?) Nah, actually, I WOULD.
I have a son that is 34, living in Turlock. His name is Chris Weise. He was born to a short lived marriage with Mickey Weise. I am sure some of you know the name?? I won't ask if that's good or bad?
Dave and I have a son that is 28 (Craig Shannon) that lives in San Diego. He is married, just moved into a new home and is a great guy! He is an engineer and his wife has a great job with a bio-tech industry.
Our daughter (Tara Shannon) who is 25 also resides in the San Diego area. Actually, she and her husband, Wade Gallison, live right around the corner from us. She is a crazy gal just like her mother! She works with autistic children and her husband is a partner with mine in a business named "The Shutter Guys". They sell window coverings and are keeping very busy.
I just moved to the San Diego area last year (2006) so I could "hang out" with my kids and their significant others!! We're hoping f...Expand for more
or some more "kids" to hang out with in the near future????
We have three dogs. I absolutely LOVE animals, especially dogs.
I help with my husband's business. Kinda, sorta, a secretary of sorts.
I lost my mom in 2006, which was really hard on me. I helped take care of her for many years. She never learned to drive- so therefore, I was her part-time taxi service. At that point (when she passed) we decided to move to San Diego area (Escondido) where we could hang out until we, God forbid, ever need any major HELP through this wretched aging process.............hmmm...........don't know if I even wanna think about that!!!!
I've been blessed with good health, great family, and friends...........and many wonderful adventures.
We have traveled quite alot. Some of our ventures took us to France, Italy, and Thailand. I befriended a couple of elephants in Thailand, of which I promised to come back to visit sometime in the near future. My dogs don't know that I'm going back, so let's just keep that our lil secret.
I keep in touch with Carrie deBruyn (Elmquist) and Doris Burden (Date). The three of us had a "FUN", to say the very least, get-together last year in San Diego. No, We haven't changed a bit- atleast in OUR MINDS.
