Cynthia's Story
Life
I married in 1973 and moved to Washington State and have two sons, Scott Sheppard who is 30 and Ryan Shepprad who is 28 years. I'm a grandmother of three, 2 boys and a girl, all VERY PRECIOUS! I divorced in 1986 and remarried in Nov 92. My husband Terry and I love to boat on the Puget Sound, we have a 29 foot SeaRay. We vacation each year in the San Juan Islands, which are absolutely breath taking. I come home to Indy to visit my siblings every Aug for a couple of weeks. Its sad that our family has gotten smaller as we lost our sister Pam and our younger brother Kenny.
Mt St Helen's is pretty much in my back yard, about a 2 hour drive from me in Gig Harbor. I'll never forget May 18, 1980, it cannot be described. The week-end before the mountain blew, we were camping up the mountain with our children. The mountain burped up some ash and it looked like dirty snow. I told my ex-husband that we should be leaving the mountain as I didn't feel safe. I just shook knowing that we were so close the week-end before it BLEW! The Lord was truly watching over us.

Loan Officer, a job that I absolutely loved. Prior to this I worked as a cashier at 2 military base commissary's, Ft Lewis Army Base, WA and Wright Patterson AFB, OH. Before I left Indy I worked as a Micro Photographer at Blue Cross, Blue Shield for a year. Prior to that, while I was still in High School, I was a cashier at Thomas Market on E. New York Street.
I do regret working while I was still in High School, as I didn't get involved in the social activities at school. I was pretty shy, but I always wanted to be a cheerleader! GIGGLE!!!
In High School I dated Larry Dean Green of ROTC and Stewart Murray. Larry Green was my HERO! I was so shy, but I had many secret crushes. My crushes were on Roger Roth, Rex Marshall, Jack Harmon, Roger Stark, Mark Waggoner-(WOW), Kent Clark and of course David Harmon of which I hardly talked with any of these guys as I was sooooooooooo..... SHY! GIGGLE!!! Oh well, I really hope everyone is successful in life, happy and healthy!
My fondest memories are of Dianne Bell, Deborah Dugger, Becky Boucher, Bruce Price, Lana Cast, Patty Meigs, Mary Jane Montgomery and Richard Swan. We went from elementary school through high school together!
