Cynthia's Story
Life
I have a son, 28 and a daughter 24 from first marriage of 24 yrs to curt wallenburg. He moved us to wi while he kept his job driving a semi in chicago. He commuted back and forth being gone for sometimes a month. We had alot of problems including he was cheating on me and was irresponsible with money. He put us in debt and ruined our credit. Shortly after I divorced him he ended up in prison for stealing a motorcycle. He is a felon now. He also stole a car and crossed the chicago border to wi with it so the FBI was involved. He was always a thief. It just caught up with him. He is out of prison now and living in florida. Remarried for 8 yrs to a wonderful man. I train and show arabians. To afford this I became an artist. I glaze pottery for a company and paint customized sawblades. I was a featured artist on venture north public TV years back. I'm pretty proud of this as I was told I would never amount to anything. My passion is horses. Shortly after moving to wisconsin I found a wonderful trainer and he has taught me so much about horses. I bought my first horse and ended up letting my daughter use her in 4-H. re. Right now I have a beautiful black arab I raised from a baby. I had my first horse breed to a famous stallion. I still have her. She is 30 years old and retired out now. I have a 20 year old mare retired from show ring. My daughter finished 4-H with her. We just trail ride her now. My black arab is 10 yrs. old now. My goal is to get to the nationals with him. Horses keep you young and skinny. Their a great stress relief. My husband and I have a 40 acre hobby farm. He is into old classic cars and show his cars in the summer while I'm at my horse shows. I'm not a grandma yet. Neither one of my kids is married yet. That's Ok with me. I'm to busy to babysit. I think it's best to wait for marriage. I know I married to young and it didn't work out. Wisconsin is a great place to live. People are friendlier here and no one is in a hurry. Very relaxed way to live. When I left chicago, I never looked back and don't miss it. There's nothing better than to get up early and hop on your horse and go for an early morning ride and an eagle flies over or a flock of geese. Or ride when the sun sets until the moon is out. The sky at night is full of stars. I'll take the country life over the city anyday.
