Cynthia's Story
Life
Living in San Diego, CA with my youngest daughter and her family. I am the finance manager for a privately owned university. I am loving life, my two adult daughters and two beautiful, magic grand-daughters! Looking to reconnect with a few of the people I went to school with. My school years weren't my strongest, but they are all gone now and it would be nice to see what kind of people we all grew into.
School
Anyone who knew me knows the stories - oh, no! I am so looking forward to hearing what my high school friends remember and comparing those memories to my own "perfect recall".
College
After leaving high school I quickly got married and started a family - I am a young grand mother and very grateful that things worked out so well for me, for my children and even for my ex-husband.
I went back to school when my daughters were in grade school and graduated from Cameron University - Lawton, OK - with a Bachelors Degree in Accounting with minors in Economics and Finance.

I have never accomplished anything the "traditional" way and don't see any reason to start now.
Workplace
I have flipped burgers - not for long - I'm slow. I've been a cashier, answered phones, sold vacuum cleaners door to door. Now I share my office with COO of the university and finally feel completely at ease with what I am doing.
I have found that it really, really is not all about the money - at least not for me - but more about quality of life and enjoying what I'm doing.
Military
My ex-husband retired from the Army after 24 years. We went to Oklahoma, California and Hawaii. It is a wonderful lifestyle and provided us with great benefits - which I am still entitled to since we were married 25 years.
I enjoyed the lifestyle and moving never bothered me. I have lived in Illinois (of course), Oklahoma, California, Hawaii, Kansas, New Jersey and Nevada. I don't know where I plan to grow old at yet and still have not figured out where I want to be living when I do grow old.
