Cindy's Story

Life Hi everyone! Life is so good and I am blessed. Looking forward to the 35th reunion. Hope to see many of my classmates. I live outside Memphis, TN - been here 17 years. My husband is an Airline Pilot/Captain on the DC-10 for Fed Ex. I recently retired as a Flight Attendant for US Airways. I flew for US Air 22 years. Before US Air, I flew for an International Carrier out of New York for 5 years, flying mostly to Europe and the Caribbean. But they went bankrupt. (while I was furloughed/laid off from Capitol Airl) I flew for Saudia Airlines and was based in Jeddeh, Saudi Arabia for 6 months. I traveled throughout Africa and the Middle East and had a blast! But I wasn't married then - and married at age 28. I have no children (I'm married to one) however, we recently adopted a Shih Tzu named "Baby". We love her! My other love is golf - I compete in all the local tournaments and play on two golf leagues. I am very active on several committees at my Country Club. work, as well as serve on the board for MAWGA. ( Memphis Area Women's Golf Association). I served as President and Tournament Director in 2003. Tim and I have been married (in April) 25 years. We met in San Francisco when I was on a layover. He is a native Californian from Huntington Beach. For my early retirement and 25th wedding anniversary, we bought a Villa in the Caribbean last May. Perfect get away - to enjoy my retirement. (Tim has several more years) We have yet to rent it, as we love it too much! My mother is still doing well and is 86 years old! She looks great and spent a month with me in the Dominican Republic. She lives about 5 minutes from me and has been in TN for 15 years. My brother Sam is a Criminal Defense Attorney and is doing quite well in Baltimore. My sister Sally is now in Real Estate, after quitting teaching as a Middle School English Teacher and an Associate Professor at Temple University. She lives in Fort Washingotn.
