DAVE's Story
Grew up in a family with the love of the outdoors where I was taught the skills for extended off grid existence.
Along with the typical 'camping/backpacking' that one would assume, I also excelled at traditional rock climbing, leading routes up to a 5.8 and following up to a 5.10 from Seneca Rocks, W.Va. "Pleasant Overhangs" to Eldorado Canyon, Co. "Bastille Crack" to Rocky Mountain National Parks multi-day face climb of 'The Diamond' on Longs Peak, to Sea Cliff climbing in Big Sur, Ca. among many, many others.
I've also had a life long love affair with sailing and the water in general, sailing extensively on 3 of the 5 Great Lakes as well as multiple runs from Rockport to Providence and back, many excursions on Chesapeake Bay, Pamlico Sound and on the Cape Fear Terrace. And one lovely adventure throughout the Bahamian Islands.

ong before being 'green' was a buzz word.
Relocated from Lakewood off the lake and moved south to Richfield, Ohio and started growing roots of my own, nestled down in a c:1820's farm house close to the CVNP.
Married a NE Ohio girl and we have two boys. Both are extremely hard workers and above average students. They are amazing musicians/songwriters for their age and have excelled in their individual snow sports, as well photography & writing.
We have one way old dog and are between barn cats at this moment.
In our free time (ha) I like to dabble in the arts. Music, photography, stained glass, furniture restoration, century home restoration. I'm also active in the NE Ohio (and actually national) music scene involved with a number of musical projects. The most prolific of at this time being "Crooked". A five piece string band.
I've been working continually in the Civil Engineering field since High School, paying my way thru college at the time and enjoying the life and freedom it has given me.
Oh, and I like cheese.
