Kim's Story
2008
Hi All,
It has been many years since I have seen most of you. I moved to Genoa, Nebraska, with my mom when she remarried, in the middle of my senior year, and never made any connections there as I did with my lifelong classmates in Bangor. I went to cosmotology school while in Nebraska, but got a good paying job, while going to school, and decided full time school & full time work did not mix, so I quit school ( I had only done it to make my mom happy anyway).
I ended up coming home to Michigan, in 1976, and stayed with my dad. I married in 1978, to a guy from South Haven and we will celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary this summer, we have 2 son's ages 25 & 29, and have lived in Wisconsin, since 1979.
I have kept up with close friends, over the years, and try to get home about once a year, to visit. I would love to hear from other friends, that ...Expand for more
I have had during school.
Presently I have been a bar tender for about the last 20 years. Pretty much an oxymoron, because I don't drink.
Things I enjoy doing are working on my Genealogy, which I have been working on for over 25 years. I also enjoy fishing, gardening, and pitching in when there are benefits for people who are less fortunate than I am. On line, I taught Genealogy classes for several years on AOL, and I ran hour long Baby Boomers games, such as events of our younger days, Rock music, t.v., etc. I also am getting into photography, and have sold some of my work. Nature photography is my favorite to do, being a "country girl" I think all those walks out in the woods gave me a great appreciation for the animals, trees, plants, etc. Someday, I hope to be published.
Hoping to hear from other classmates & friends from all years.
