Dj's Story
Life
After leaving school, I worked for a time for the WA State Parks Dept, then joined the Air Force where I served in Texas and Idaho as a Security Specialist. After my separation, I was a police officer for a short time, then moved back to Texas. In 1980, I bought a pair of mules in Odessa, and moved from there to Fort Worth in a covered wagon. The trip took 19 days, and I enjoyed every minute of it.
In 1986, I participated in the Texas Sesquicentennial Wagon Train, which toured the entire state, traveling 3,124 miles between January 2 and July 3. i left the Train early, as my wife was killed in June.

3 children, the youngest of which is now 16, and 2 step-children, one married and the other age 8. As of yesterday (August 21) I am a grandfather for the 7th time.
I have lived in Michigan since November of 1999, where I am a Quality Assurance inspector in a factory where we build wiring harnesses for auto makers--primarily Chrysler.
I became a youth baseball/softball umpire and enjoy working with the local youth each summer, helping them to learn the game and be better players and sports.
I welcome any contact with any of you who remember me, and would like to know where you are and what you are doing today.
