My Life current to December 2008 Hi fellow Artesians! Here's a look at my time capsule. ** Resume stuff: * B.S. Medical Microbiology CSULB * California Licensed Medical Technologist (MT) * Member of the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) * Worked as a Medical Technologist until 1994 at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, and then Corning-Nichols Institute as a serologist until 1996. * Switched careers to Information Technology after I earned a Comp-TIA A+ PC support certificate, and became a Microsoft Certified Professional. * 1997 Officially began life as a Network Administrator at Huck International working under a fellow Artesia Alumni Joe Crumpler. * Since 2004 been working as a Data Analyst for the Bio-Med giant Beckman Coulter. Currently called a Senior Product Specialist, and live 3 miles from my office in Brea. ** Family stuff: * I married in 1994 to Kathleen Ahn. Kat is daughter #5 of 7 (Star-Trek humor). She is the "logical" choice for my soul-mate. She's a good listener, and a smart shopper; all the areas I am weakest in. We met on a blind-date in college, and after surviving Nolan Nobel's chemistry class, I finally understood what "chemistry" is about; she was the one for me. * #1 (more Star-Trek Humor) Is my very sassy daughter- Ahnika Kiyoko Ishikawa-born May 1996. We named her Ahnika because I love "ZEN" symmetry, and her initials are my middle name (AKI). Her first name is a mix of our last names: (AHN- ishIKAwa).
