More about Dale:"I was born in southern Michigan in 1957 and moved north to the Traverse City area when I was in the fourth grade. I attended elementary school in Traverse City and then Suttons Bay. My family then moved to Cadillac before finally settling in Williamsburg where I lived when graduating from Elk Rapids High. After graduation I attended Northwestern Michigan College, got married to my first wife, Tracee, and then transferred to the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. I did not finish my education, and returned to the northern Michigan area in 1981. I went back to work for Gordon food Service, where I had worked as a summer driver while in college, and moved for them to the Chicago area to open up some new territory. My wife and I lived in that area for about 6 years and our two children, Brandon and Chelsee, were born there. We returned to the northern Michigan area in 1987 and I went to work for Midstate Foodservice in Cadillac. I worked for them for about four years before taking a job with Van Eerden Foodservice in the Traverse City area. My wife and I were divorced near the same time in 1990. A few years later I met and married my second wife, Janice. She was a wonderful wife but with four pre-teen and teenagers to contend with we lost to divorce in 1997. After the divorce was final I took a position as a yacht captain for some longtime friends that I had worked for shortly after graduating high school. It was a nice break for a while but was lonely spending six months in Florida and then six months in Michigan. I left that position in 2000 and returned to Traverse City and finally found a full time job working for Munson Hospital Support Services driving a linen and medical supply delivery truck. It worked out to be a great schedule for me because it was at this time that my daughter, Chelsee, started growing in popularity as a country music singer. I worked in the afternoons from 2:00PM to 12:30 so I had my mornings to work on promotions, printing, bookings, and the multitude of other responsibilities that were necessary to help her progress in her career. In 2005, after graduating from Traverse City Central High a...Expand for more
nd performing throughout the summer, Chelsee and I moved to Nashville, Tennessee to continue her career. I was hoping to possibly get a position in the music business myself but found that to be very difficult and returned to the old standby of driving a truck. Chelsee is mostly on her own now, though I try to be here for moral support and sometimes a little financial support when she needs it but she is doing well. Last year she and her ex-boyfriend Rob Bolin, were in the top ten finalist on Country Music Television’s, (CMT) “Can You Duet” and this year she has been involved in something else that I cannot talk about yet but I will keep you posted!!!! In my own life, I have been single for over thirteen years now and have, over the past three years, decided that it was time for me to think about my future and happiness and looking for love. In May of 2008 I met a beautiful Vietnamese woman that is married to an American man. After spending some time with them, they really liked my personality and wanted to introduce me to her sister in Vietnam. Quynh and I started talking via email and telephone on the weekends. I found her to be very intelligent, funny and beautiful and so in the fall of 2008 I went to visit her in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. We also traveled to Nha Trang, Vietnam and became engaged during my two week visit there. Upon returning I submitted paperwork the US Customs and Immigration Service. After 5 months it was approved and sent to the US Embassy in Ho Chi Minh City where Quynh had been medically, mentally, and criminally tested. She passed all of the tests but failed in her interview. They requested more proof of our relationship but she was denied her visa after a second interview. Needing more proof of our relationship I returned to visit her again this past spring 2010. My father and stepmother, Quynh’s sister and her husband also traveled there to be a part of our wedding celebration. We had a small family gathering at her parents’ home for the ceremony and then a large party for 100 of her relatives and friends at a large hotel in Ho Chi Minh City. We also traveled to a small island, Phu Quoc, of the coast of Vietnam and Cambodia for our three day honeymoon. I returned home and put together a much more extensive package of proof for the USCIS as they had closed our case and I had to re-file everything again. I am still waiting to hear that the application has been approved and will be sent on to the US Embassy in Ho Chi Minh City again. We hope that she will be here in the spring but really aren’t sure. I will keep this updated so that everyone will know!!!!".
