owry, SD - Okinawa, Japan and Bahrain, Saudi Arabia. Whew! Lots of places, a year here a month there - keep a bag packed! I did participate in Desert Storm, its before and slight thereafter math. About eight months in all. After leaving government service way behind, I earned my Microsoft Certifications in Servers, Networking and Database Administration, I worked three contract jobs until illness overtook me in 2004. I was unable to work beyond that time - so I'm living off of Military retirement, Veterans benefits and Social Security Disability. Oh, the Disability stems from Gulf War Syndrome - nothing serious enough to kill me, but keeps me a bit more than uncomfortable. Now, I'm settled in Athens, AL and will probably remain here to take care of my parents as they age.".
