Dallan's Story

While in Colorado, I graduated from the University of Colorado (Boulder Campus) with a Degree in Architecture. I Immediately discovered the Building Contractors pay much better than Architects and so I went to work with Turner Construction Company (an International Builder with Headquarters in NYC) as an onsite Asst. ies, so I moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where I found work as "Construction Manager/Monitor" working for Architects and/or Owners as an On-site Representative/inspector for large multi-story Projects. Work was varied, It included Downtown office buildings, large shopping centers, and even the new Border Crossing/ immigration center in Nogales, Arizona. (A Federal project, where I reported to a General Services Administrator in Washington, DC).
Similar assignments followed in Phoenix and its suburbs, but my career ended in 2009 with an accident while working as Construction Manager/Monitor for the Peoria School District, from which I was forced to retire.
