Dan's Story
Life
Since HS, I took a year off and worked before I headed to Tallahassee and Florida State in 1986. Went to school there for two years, but I worked more than I studied and I came back to Sarasota and worked fulltime at Hemingway's, Charley's Crab, and Roessler's. I got my AA from MCC and then went to USF Sarasota for a year. I lived with Brian Blair during this time. I decided I'd never graduate going part time and so I quit working and headed back to FSU! graduated! As you see, I was on the ten year plan! I had so many credit hours, I got two degrees: one in International Affairs and another in History. With those highly "marketable" degrees, I began working at Comcast in Sarasota. I made very good money there and met great friends, but it was never going to be all that I wanted so after seven years I quit. I'm now in Miami going to law school and business school. Yes, I'm just collecting degrees at this point. Someday I guess I'll start a life. We'll see.
