Dan's Story
[(*Note: please leave a "profile note" at my profile--I don't pay for this site, so thats the only thing from you I can even see at all.*)]
"Where am I now?" I ask myself...
I live on the Mendocino coast, about 3 hours' drive north of SF, one of the most gorgeous places I've ever been. I work in a small natural foods store that is located in an old church that was built in 1894. The business is a workers' collective, so that means I am part owner, wear many hats (including, currently, the title of CEO--isn't that a hoot?!) and am an equal to all my coworkers. No boss! Perfect for me, if you remember me very well.
Yes, I was a teenage punk, as you might remember, and a serious metal enthusiast prior to that, and I still love both those kinds of music, by the way. More recent musical loves are big band music, and Latin jazz. Though I do believe I did complete my AA in Applied Music at Saddleback in classical guitar, my life as a musician comes to no more currently than singing when the urge strikes me. I still have that pizzazzy personality, and I think I sing pretty well, so...perhaps make me the front man for your rock n' roll band?! (I have, at this point, pretty much completely given up on the guitar. After recording myself playing into my phone...yikes! Terrible!)

ating in 2001 with a B.A. in Film Studies (Summa Cum Laude) and Humanities.
I love film; like music, it is a true love. I also learned to love and appreciate art in college. One of my major current life goals is to focus and direct my creative energies into some sort of worthwhile, productive creative art practice. Mendocino is home to many, many artists, so it's an atmosphere conducive to such inquiries. My vacations are marathon film festivals, mostly silents and classic Hollywood, though what drew me into film studies, and back into college, was the avant-garde.
Another major life goal is to find love. I never married or had kids, and haven't known a lot of romantic love in my adult life. Been kinda lonely, I must admit. Any single gals out there interested? Drop me a line!
I've been clean and sober for over 20 years now (shocking, isn't it?) and I quit smoking even longer ago. So I've definitely grown in a lot of ways. But I'm still the old, fun-loving "Danny": you used to know! (Though I prefer "Dan" these days.)
Frankly, I have little interest in facebook, and deactivated my facebook account some months ago. For some unkown reason, I'm somewhat uncomfortable with it. Best way to connect with me is on t witter to start with; search for my pseudonym "Dan Sedan." You can direct message me there.
I'd love to hear from you, so please reach out!
Luv,
Dan
