Dan's Story
After high school, I worked in a factory repairing telephones for AT&T and making cheesesteaks at Lou's Sandwich shop. I did have fun in high school, but no college wanted any part of me with all the low marks in my Kenrick report cards.
I went to night school at Montgomery County Community College while working in the factory with the purpose of getting good marks to apply to a 4 year college/art school. I did succeed and then went to art school at The Ohio State University, Columbus College of Art and Design and The Tyler School of Art of Temple University. While at Temple's Tyler School of Art, I was accepted to their art program abroad in Rome.
I have worked in television broadcasting as...Expand for more
a broadcast graphic designer/animator since 1986 and I have lived in several cities around the country from San Francisco to Tampa and from Atlanta to New York City...
I have received several Emmy awards and international design awards for my work in broadcast design and I have worked at CNN, NBC News and I'm currently a Senior Designer at NBC/MSNBC in New York City.
Of note, I became the NBC News lead artist on 9/11 in New York City while normally working on the Today Show that morning.
I have a wonderful, beautiful wife named Cathy who is originally from Delaware County, PA who is also from a large family. I like long walks on the beach and I'm not into yoga, but have half a brain. :)
