More about Dan:"I'm a really fortunate member of the human species. My soul-mate, Sara, and I have been together for 37 fun-filled years. We have two amazing, accomplished and lovely daughters named Olivia and Alexandria. Social Justice, peace and teaching and education are the other passions in my life, that and having a good time. I've lived in Knoxville Tennessee, Long Beach California and Duluth Minnesota. I've been a teacher, vice-principal, director of curriculum, and a district...Expand for more
superintendent. For 14 years, I was the director of education at our PBS station in Duluth (retired in June, 2011), while teaching part-time at the University of Minnesota Duluth for 14 years. A year ago, our entire family spent 24 days playing in London, Italy, and a Mediterranean cruise and this past January a great family vacation in the Yucatan. Now that I am semi-retired, having retired from PBS but continuing to teach part-time at UMD, I should be able to devote even more time to having a good time. I am in the process of writing a book based on my Facebook experience with hundreds of former students. Like I said, I'm a really lucky guy!".
