Dan's Story
Life
Got fed up with the Twin Cities and moved out east. I'm a mild-mannered research librarian and intellectual and philosopher by day and a wild-unmannered drummer and musician by night. In Minnie, I played drums in a band in the 1990s whose leader once pissed off Bob Dylan. Ask me for details. I'm still a music fanatic. After high school, I attended St. Cloud State University, graduating with a BA in Philosophy and English. Traveled nationally and internationally. Studied publishing in 1984-1985 at George Washington University in DC, returning to Minneapolis in 1986. Worked as a librarian, researcher, editor, writer, abstractor, and indexer for a wide variety of corporate and nonprofit companies and publishers and government agencies and started my own entrepreneurial consulting venture. Co-founded and edited a creative writing magazine. Board member/founder of Banner Legal Assistance Foundation. I returned to DC (which means "Dungeon of Capitalism" and "Do...Expand for more
n't Cooperate") in 1999 and have remained ensconed in the Belly of the Beast since, waiting for terrorists to nuke it (I was near the Pentagon when it was attacked on 9/11, saw the flames). Still active in radical politics, though I've matured and moderated a bit. I'm still heterosexual and still single and available, girls! ;-) Am follicly-challenged and experiencing midlife crises, though I refuse to grow "old". There. Who woulda thunk it? That's more info than you ever wanted to know and deserved to know. LOL! If anyone from ye olde Sibley class of '75, or before or later, wants to get in touch, I'm at mesnikdAtJunoDotCom. Lines of communication are always open and operators are standing by 24/7 to take your message. Title of my autobiography is "You Can't Make This 'Stuff' Up." I do visit good ole St. Paul/big time Minneapolis periodically as I have family and friends there. Thanks for patiently reading this, and have a good day and a better tomorrow! :-)
