After HS, I joined the military, US Army, exited after first term and went to business college in White Plains, NY, then attended SUNY, NY at Morrisville, graduated with Assoc in Landscape Development. Traveled the USA as a professional driver for 5 years: US, Canada and parts of Mexico. Finally started my own business in Somerset, WI as a Transportation and Logistics agent for Landstar Ranger, Independent Agent. Very successful, I own the company, have 3 staff under me, work from home and move frieght via all modes both domestic and internationally. Two biggest moves were from the Exxon drilling station in Prudhoe Bay, AK to Southern, CA (a transformer) and also another tranfsformer from Denver, CO to Queensland, Australia. We move everything from single skid LTL to giant cranes and machinery that can take up to 22 plus axles and weight over 300,000 lbs. (the stuff you might see on discovery channel). It is a very challenging and lucrative business and it never has a dull day, plus I get to work from home.
