Here's a brief look at my life and learnings since high school. Went to college in New Jersey, out to San Francisco to work, got married, back to grad school (MBA) in Connecticut, down to DC/Virginia to work, up to Rochester, NY, where we raised our two kids and where I worked for a few companies over the next 20 years, got divorced, then out to San Diego where I currently live. Most of my career was "the corporate thing" -- planning/accounting/ controller/CFO plus head of HR -- and the entrepreneurial thing -- not being an entrepreneur myself, but being the wingman to an entrepreneur, loving that environment... all of which taught me to listen to others and to be able to live with uncertainty, two things I think I've finally learned to do. I now do financial and business consulting to early stage companies and to later-stage companies going through some kind of transition.
