Grew up in Ione, CA, in the Gold Country of California. Dad was a dentist/cattle rancher. Went to UC Berkeley, where I played football and rugby, and later had a real estate biz in SF's Upper Market. Have two grown kids and three grandkids, and have been living (alone with my two goldens) back in Ione for the past 15 years.".
