Dan's Story
Life
I'm currently living in Knoxville, TN, working on innovative aerospace projects on the side. See balloon.utarc.org for one. Did so-so in college, but did a lot of interesting things on the side - got my pilot's license, got certified as Steam Locomotive Fireman and Engineer, built, launched and tracked weather balloons up beyond the stratosphere, and saw the first space flight of SpaceShipOne in the Mojave desert. I plan to go west eventuall...Expand for more
y, to join in the private rocket industry, to work on ships like SpaceShipOne. Right now I am enjoying living in Knoxville, a nice little city about half the size of Rochester, living in a nice old house not a 10 minute walk from all the downtown activities.
Workplace
Still working as a Mac computer tech as of August 2005, though just started working very hard to get out of the computer industry and more toward what I want to do with Rockets.
