Dan's Story
Life
I grew up in Sandy, an area called White City off of 7th East. Moved to Holladay after completing 10th Grade at Jordan High School.
I was in a band with Marlon Moore, Reggie Hall and Robert Cole and Lanny Watkins. We played at a small church on 13th east..up on the hill on friday nites. It was very popular and a great time during 10th grade.
Graduated from Olympus. Spent two semisters at L D S Business College, but that second semister was spent mostly looking at used cars. Spent a few months in Los Angeles going to an airline school and then chased a girl to Texas.
Got a job with Southwest Airlines in 1971 and still work for Southwest today. I am an original employee of Southwest and get a lot of great perks and recognition from my pee...Expand for more

I actually work in a department called Flight Control, tons of stress and decision making every day, but I love it and the job has shaped my life for the better.
My latest project is CURLING, the Sport. You may remember it from the Olympics. I am a founding member and founding Board Member of the Dallas/Ft. Worth Curling Club. I know Ogden has a curling club, check it out, you will become hooked. It is a very social sport with most people arriving early to sit around the bar talking. Then two hours curling, and back around the bar talking and comparing games. Ask me about Bonspiels....WOW !
