Dana's Story

Life Living & loving life with my beautiful husband and "soulmate" of 18 years. We lived in Nashville for five years, active within the songwriting community and are now back home in NYC, where we're involved in our respective creative and business endeavors. We cherish our family time, notably our three beautiful nieces and two nephews, as well as photography-related pursuits, travel, theater and community. School I was not terribly inspired or motivated with the school curriculum as I knew it. With that said [haha!] my heartfelt thanks to the SWS {School Within A School], who made my time at RHS more bareable and certainly more rewarding. ol-Within-A- School]independent study program, and the wonderful staff of teachers who guided those of us who participated in it, I was able to focus on my music. In my senior year, I began singing on demos for music publishers and songwriters, which then led me to my first job as a staffwriter. Upon graduation from RHS, I signed a 5-year publishing deal with Dick James Music and in 1979 signed an artist deal with Midsong Records. I enjoyed some minor success during this time, and through the years went on to write for Chappell Music, Peer Southern Music, MCA Music and South Beach Music. Songwriting and singing have always been my passion, and I continue to live out my dreams every day, as I work with some of the most talented folks in the music industry.
