Dana's Story

I moved to Idaho with my husband back in 1993 when the economy was slow,my husband is a heavy equipment operator and there was very little work in California. Ron My husband had lived in Idaho at one time and worked for the BLM as equipment operator for Wild Land fire supression, he called someone he worked with in the past and they indicated openings so he applied. He worked one summer in Idaho while I stayed working in San Diego, hoping the economy would turn around because I did not really want to move to Idaho and I was happy with my job. However things did not turn around I finally agreeded to move to Idaho. We bough three acres on the snake river It is beautiful and very peaceful. I an my husband have a good life here. art time business that will replace my full time job by next year. My grown boys followed us a year later, and they love it here as they like all the outdoor activties all year round, it was a good decission to move. Now when the economy is again bad the jobs that we all took has not affected us at all. My business has turned out to recession proof and I have increase my income this year. My children are all still working and doing well. My daughter the only one that stayed in San Diego and not doing as well , her husband is an electrician and he is not working as much as before. We lover our home and the picture you see of me is with my two pitbulls Rubysue and Juky they share our home with us and we love them. So this is my story. Dana Jablonsk ( Lawson )
