Dana's Story
Life
Thanks for asking. I am a Chiropractic Orthopedist in Portland, Oregon, with 2 incredible daughters - one now 5 1/2 years old, one almost 9. They are wonderful and light up my life. I have enough freedom to do what I want and right now, that is spending time with them, working together with my wife, having fun with my practice and figuring out how to retire gracefully.
I have had fun in the last 25+ years since I last saw most of you. I have been married to a great woman for 16 of them, and I will admit that she mellowed me out quite a bit. After living in Greenwich Village, we married, quit our jobs, toured Indonesia, and then moved out to Portland in 1991. We now live in a 1901 Victorian with all the secret passagew...Expand for more
ays one could ever need. Truth is, I had to completely restore the place, but we did it right.
Oregon is really a great place to live, although it is hard to be away from family. I still have passions that include blues guitar, martial arts, sailboat racing and offshore cruising, hiking, camping and skiing. I love the beach at any time of year.
Anyway - it's been good, but they were right, no one said it was going to be easy. As I recently said to a friend... can't believe so many of us have made it this far. It took me a reasonable share of pain and learning experiences. It's been a long, strange trip but I can say that I have appreciated it fully. Hope to see some of you at a formal or informal reunion one of these days.
