Dana's Story
Life
Hey! I've grown so much since high school and God has truly blessed me in many, many ways. I've got two totally awesome kids and some amazing friends. I'm active in my church, I love reading my Bible and listening to Christian music, and I'm real interested in photography. I'm learning sign language, too. I work from home for a real estate appraisal firm, and I sell Avon. Both are flexible and leave me time to spend with my family and friends. Life is good!
School
You know, I didn't really like high school all that much. I just basically did my own thing and did my best to get through it. I had fun with a small circle of close friends. I loved being a football manager, and playing in the pep band at the basketball games. The band's trip to Disney World was...Expand for more
a great time. And Eric Nightengale threw some awesome parties out on Silver Hills.
College
I carried a full load of classes for two years at IUS after graduating from NAHS. I wasn't really sure what I wanted to do, but I majored in elementary education. My favorite class was Ed. Psych. with Dr. DeGraff. I also took an awesome Epic Lit. class. There were only five or six of us in the class. When I wasn't in class (although I should have been sometimes), I was hanging out in the commons with friends and playing euchre.
After those two years, I got burnt out and quit. I went back again later and took business and accounting classes at night while I worked a stressful full time job during the day. After a couple of more years, I quit again. I never have earned a degree.
