Daniel's Story
Greetings from the LA Area ( circa 2019 , December)
I hope everyone is fine and life is going as good as may be expected...I work PT in the trade show industry now and all is well..
My,my, my has time vanished!
I was 17 yesterday- 66 today...I glad to still be around , however when it is over I would never come back..to me our country is in decline...$24,000,000,000,000 in debt- our debt proves it... Easy going has become obsolete and to me commercial entertainment is awful...Travel is quick ( by air a big hassle) and medicine has come a very long way...but how many homeless people does one see on a given day?
That saddens me deeply...God has been so very good to me Always so I won't dare truly whine, it is just the times...Too much sorrow everywhere...
BUT- Ah we had lots of breaks and opportunities that no longer exist so gratitude is most definitely in order..
Merry Christmas and the Best the New Year can bring...
God Bless,
Danny
I'm out of the Import/Export biz and the rest of my life's work will be surrounded by an idea I had back in Oct
2002. After some "onsite" experience I discovered something that I really had not a clue of... it was the rotten way our veterans without "rank" say, corporal and under were/are being treated. I chartered a non-profit in CA ...COMPASSION INCORPORATED d.b.a. "Sincere Blessings." A long name, yes, however ANY part of it ie: Compassion Inc or Sincere Blessings may be used in business and these two particular terms were all ready in use elsewhere in the world, so I compromised a little. I was informed that I couldn't/shouldn't build up a non-profit at the same time I'm building a for-profit business. My enemies (what enemies, I thought?) would taint all my hard work in both enities. The attorney was right on target. As our trading company grew people I never met hated me in particular...Expand for more
and our enity in general.
Well in July I announced to all present
that enough was enough and I'll be around to help (at a fee, of course) but I am/did resign effective on a dynamite day... Saturday 01/02/2010. No 1,2,3 and your out. Saturday and Sunday do not matter in business except for "the banking advantage" since we've been integrated into the global economy over 15 years ago. It was an excellent run of real hard work and the nerves of a high stakes poker player but everyone involved is 200 to 500% better off now than they were in their respective occupations. The East/West thing was set up to last generations, after all until the end of the world there will always be a need to buy and sell---NO MATTER WHAT. That is why I put my nose to the grindstone and blew off dozen's of nay-sayer's out here and elsewhere. My 1st "believer" Tom Bergeron has taken over and he told me that my demand for him to put up $10,000 AND get five more reliable people to do the same "was outrageous" to him at the time but he did it and the rest is history.
The non-profit is the thing with me now and I purposely chose a name that
can cover a multiple of need down the road on a working model basis. I, nor anyone else can save the world, however if one has been able to maintain their tender heart as I have been able to do, it is our duty to give back what God and society has given us.
I have been truly blessed in my life in more ways than I could possibly account for if I worked on it 24/7 for the rest of my life and that is putting it mildly.
Well that is it for now.
With Warm Regards,
Danny
PS I'm spending the summer in RI and the northeast so if anyone wants to meet and chat it will be my treat in the meantime forget about tomorrow and live for today as our "style" is being cramped on all sides and before one knows it, it's TOO LATE!
