Daniel's Story

Life Hello from Colorado!! Thanks for being curious - I was the quiet one that was maybe a bit too shy in my younger days. After High School I went to Radio Broadcasting School in Wausau, WI. Later I worked at a station in Wausau for about 3 years -maybe that helped me come out of my shell a bit. During that time I met my girlfriend/future wife 20 years later ex- wife in Wausau, WI in 82. We had our Daughter Andrea in 1984 and my whole life began to change..We moved to Mesa, AZ and were married there in the hot desert sun in 86(Really! at a country club 9th hole). In Nov 86 I went into the Air Force and served 6 years active duty as a Telecommunications/Satellite control specialist,(Best thing I could have ever done for myself). The duty sent me from AZ to Colo Spgs, CO as 1st duty assignment in June 87- my career then skyrocketed as I found out my true potential working with the DOD.I did things, met people and saw things I never dreamed I would ever get to see. (SDI,GPS,Space Shuttle Ops for example). In 89 we had my daughter and future activist, Stephanie and in 90 we had my son Daniel JR. Then at the worst time I had to go remote to Korea 90-91 (ate Dog,Squid and rolled around in alot of mud -I hope it was mud!!) and we went back to Falcon AFB(now Shriever) in Colo Springs in 91. I decided to try DOD contracting and separated from the active duty military after my 6 years was up. I stayed AF Reserve part-time in Cheyenne WY and worked the Audio Visual Dept. I did get a great TDY in Italy (lunch in Venice- have to go once in your life)...Expand for more
for a short duty time until 2000. I worked for TRW for 6 years (traveled the U.S with them- it was great!!) Finally got my B.S in Mgmt of Info Sys from Colorado Tech 2000. At that same time I also ran DB Dogs and Deli - a small sandwich shop specializing in Midwestern style foods -Chicago style hotdogs, Philly Sandwiches, Fries, Brats, Polish, shakes(Cheeshead stuff) - Still a Packer Fan and haven't forgotten good ole Wisconsin. Today, 2008, I work for Northrop Grumman Space Technologies as a Unix Computer Sys Admin on a DOD Missle Defense System. I still live in Colo Spgs, CO. at the foot of Pikes Peak. I am divorced and raising my children on my own. My Children -Andrea 24 Lives in Denver, Stephanie 19 and now a Freshman at CU Boulder, and Daniel JR 17 who will be graduating from Pine Creek High School in Colorado Springs and attending Pikes Peak Community College for ahis 1st 2 years. I have a wonderful home in woods in Northern End of Colorado Springs. I found (or she found me) the love of my life and my best friend Jacqueline and I proposed to her during our trip to Italy in March 2008 in Venice. Also I have been doing voice over work and have my own little studio at home. I recently provided voices for a new PC game coming out soon called "Crusade Omega". I've also done voices for an interactive CD for children with cancer, Radio theater dramas and some regional commercials. If you'd like to hear my demo go to google dan edwards voice. Find the voice 123 page then click the yellow arrow under Dans demo. Hope to hear from you soon.
