Daniel's Story
Well Graduated from Lee in 1985, went to San Antonio College and then went to Texas Chiropractic College. Graduated from TCC in 1990 and have been in private practice in San Antonio since 1991. AskTheSanAntonioChiropractor.com is the website to my office. I am married to a wonderful woman (Lorena) and we have two sons (Alexander & Andrew). We enjoy camping, fishing and traveling.
I just have to tell you how I met my wife. When I started my practice here in San Antonio I did some TV commercials for my clinic on Telemundo. Well being a Chiropractor I thought it would be a good idea to have some scrubs. So during one of my lunch breaks I go to Classic Uniforms close to Northstar Mall. When I walked in I saw the most beautiful woman in the world. I knew it when I saw her that there is something about her I just have to get to know her. Now I was totally unaware that about 2 weeks earlier she had seen me on TV and even before my 30 second commercial was over she turned to her sister and told her that she was going to marry me. So can you imagine that. She tells her sister that she is going to marry a doctor she sees on TV and 2 weeks later he walks in to where she works. Well back to Love at first sight. and ok well I kept going to see her everyday for a week. I had bought a bunch of scrubs, lab coat, stethescopes. When she says "Do you want my number?" I said YES. We were married on August 20, 1994 By the way I am right, there is just something about her.
Maybe one day I will post how I asked her to marry me.
Well today is one day...
I wanted to ask her to marry me in a way that would be remembered as special. In 1993 for Christmas I got us private Scuba Diving Lessons with Duggan Diving out in Universal City. We started taking the classes and then it came time to do our open water testing. Now realize this is January and the lakes around here are cold. So our dive master thought it would be a good idea to go to Balmorhea State Park. The water there is always a nice 72 degrees. So we head out there and we go with a nice group of divers. I had told my dive master and good friend John Duggan that I wanted to propose to Lorena during the dive and everything was set. After we do our dive skills I would ask her to marry me. We started our dive skills testing and everything went great. We passed and on the way back from the dive I asked my dive instructor to let me borrow the writing tablet. Oh no he forgot to get it so he thinks for a minute and then hands me a knife. So I carve MARRY ME on a algae covered rock. She said yes.
