Life
First let me say hello to all my old classmates who might read this.
What have I been doing? Quite a bit. Life hasn't been as dull as I thought it might be when I left Northeast. I graduated from Greensboro College with my BA in English in 1992 and decided to give myself six months to get published as a writer or I'd go back and get my Masters. Happy to say I made my goal with two weeks to spare!
I've mainly written on the subject of horror and science fiction films. I started out with a publication called SCARY MONSTERS, then had some work published in a few smaller publications. That writing gig lasted for about five years. My latest projects involve working with a fellow writer in CA on an interview book of horror actors, writers and directors, special effects artists, etc, etc. Plus we do a monthly email newsletter that features the latest horror news, reviews of horror products and interviews with the folks that we're talking to for the book. It's going pretty good on that front, and I'm excited to meet a lot of people whose work I grew up admiring (pity I can't list the email or website address here).
Other than that, not much else exciting is happening. Between taking care of my mother and focusing on the career, there's not a lot of time for much else. Still, I do get some free time to play on the net and email old friends. That's why I'd love to hear from any of my old classmates that get this message!
