Shelly's Story
After good ole RDHS, I headed off to college to study nursing and roomed with Olga Granillo and Thelma Romero. College life was great, and a lot different than high school!! After Central Az. College, it was more adventure as I headed to ASU, to the "big city".
My first job as a nurse, also rewarded me with some wonderful friends with whom I still am very close to and still see frequently. I became a Certified Critical Care nurse, and worked IC...Expand for more
U for several years, later transferring to the ER. Over the last year, I decided I needed a break, and am presently working at a wonderful Urgent Care Center.
My husband(Daniel Melendez-South Mt. H.S. 1972) is a police officer, and we are the proud parents of 17 yr. old fraternal twin boys, who attend Hamilton H.S. in Chandler. My husband's daughter has 2 small children, who I enjoy being Grandma to.
I also am "mom" to 2 very cute dachshunds.
