Life
What few people might remember me would remember a burnout kid named "Oscar," a nickname some guy pinned on me who never even went to Taft. I e-mailed a guy who I hung out with for awhile in Sophomore/Junior year and he didn't know me at all. I figured out later he must have remembered "Oscar," since we were both pretty "tore up" during school most of the time.
After high school, had few prospects (except maybe jail or bumming (the latter of which almost looks good nowadays)) so joined the U.S. Army (1975 - 1977). llinois University (DeKalb, IL). Degrees in English (thanks to Roy Horton). Taught college English for about 18 years (part-time) while working other jobs full-time. Most recent job is for organization that works with education of military servicemembers and veterans.
Work in Washington, DC. Live in Hyattsville, Maryland. Taking it a day-at-a-time now and it ain't bad.
