Daniel's Story
Life
Hello, everyone. Most of you know me as Danny, that skinny little kid who sings. I now go by "Dan", and am far from skinny, anymore. At almost six foot tall and 220lbs, dieting is on my immediate list of priorities. My life has taken some interesting roads. In November 2007, I turned 41. I'm still living in Lafayette with my wife and three children. Marla teaches Language Arts at Edgar Martin Middle. My daughter, Holly(11) attends 6th grade at Edgar Martin and Hannah(9), attends Westminster Christian Academy. My son Hayden(4) attends K-3 at Westminster. He feels like such a big boy. The Gulf of Mexico is where I spent my working hours. I am a Pipe Recovery Specialist for Baker Atlas, a division of Baker Hughes. Music is still a big passion of mine. I have been singing on the praise and worship team at my church, The Open Door, for the past 11 years. I sang back-up vocals on an album released this past summer...Expand for more
. Go to myspace or youtube and look for THE NATHAN SAM BAND, or just NATHAN SAM. I'm proud to be a part of the project. My children are following in that same vein, and they are getting quite good at it. Between guitar rehearsals, softball practices, basketball practice, girl scout meetings, and art classes, we feel more like taxi drivers than parents, sometimes. As of Jan. 1, 2008, I am in business for myself. I am marketing identity theft protection as an independant sales associate. I am looking forward to retiring this year from the rig work. It's been very fruitful financially, and I believe it was a Godsend, because I have been battling a herniated disc since June of '07. No more oilfield for me. Sales is much easier, without all of the heavy lifting. As of April 1,2008, this has been my sole income. Call me for details. 337-344-9917
