Hey now ! Well let me think.......It's been such a long time. Right before I was going to graduate in Summer 68' I was called into the councellors office and told I did not have enough credits to graduate and I would have to go to summer school (too many ditching parties and the one way at Elysian Park). Remember those days ? I remember cruising up and down Mott looking for girls to go to the one way (elysian park) or cruising the other high schools like Lincoln, Garfield, Huntington Park, Montbello, El Rancho looking for ditching parties. What a blast, listening to oldies on our 8 track tape players and throwing chingasos with White Fence, Varrio Nuevo, 2nd St and the Pomeroy Boys. We didn't back down from no one except................some one with a gun. Back then things weren't as violent as they are now. When school ended in June of 68' I started working at Sears on Soto and 8th st. I met a girl, she got pregnant and we had a son. We were young, only 19 years old. We lasted about three years married until my homies started coming back from Viet Nam...Expand for more
