Danielle's Story
Life
My husband Lane and I are happy to announce the birth of our baby girl Savannah Danielle Stack on 01-09-07. She was 9 lbs. 14 oz. and 22.75 inches at birth. She is such a blessing. Our cat Fibi doesn't quite know what to do with her or why we brought her home but everyone is getting used to the new routine.
College
All nighters writing UCSD term papers at work and seeing everyone from the previous day in my same clothes. Ugh!
Candy Poker Night after midterms at BU School of Public Health
I missed the 6 PE classes in a quarter at Chabot...
Lisa remembers still being hung over and going to Physics with sunglasses? Thanks for driving!

Military
I have to say that while I was never in the military, I have been, unsuspectingly, a military wife. Lane had been in the Marine Corps for 9 years, pre-me, but when he joined the Army National Guard Reserves in April 2001, to finish out his 20, who knew 9/11 would happen? Well, it was a short fuse until his MP company got deployed to the sandbox. I can say that I was AAA for Kuwait/Iraq and the 670th MP Company. My husband's humvee would break down and I would get a call at 0500 to call someone at his camp (Bucca and Abu) - cell phones and satellite phones were lifesavers- to go rescue them. Go figure. The best part (NOT) was doing family support. I was on the phone with my husband begging to trade places. You think the military is bad? You should see some of the craziness the families put you through!
