Life
Hi Everyone, even though I graduted from Proviso East in 1976, I still feel like I am a part of the 1977 class since I entered Proviso in 1973. By the time I was a junior, I had earned 15 credits, so I went to summer school for the last credit instead of coming back for my senior year. So, I missed out on the big senior events (prom and graduation).
I kept my maiden name. I got married in 1984, we are still together. I have one child his name is Melvin. Melvin got accepted to Northwestern University Ph.D. program at the medical school campus located in downtown Chicago. After he completes his first year of course work, he will join a virology lab. I guess he is following in my footsteps (science and all).

Tax Accountant for Coopers & Lybrand before they merged with Price Waterhouse, then worked for Ernst & Young. After working for a few tax busy seasons, I decided this is not the career for me. So, I went back to school, received a Masters in Molecular Biology at Chicago State, work as a lab manager for a year. Now I'm at Northwestern University getting a Ph.D in Structural Biology, Biophysics/Biochemistry.
Before I graduate, I will sit for the CPA exam since I don't have my CPA license yet. I will take the exam maybe as soon as next year. You never know what type of credentials you will need.
Anyway, my ideal job will be to bridge my science and business background. Perhaps work for Big Pharma, the government, etc. I know the right job is out there. Well, that's it for now. I can go on and on, but I won't.
