Life
Well, after I graduated from WHS I went to college in Texas at Baylor University. I earned a B.S. in Home Economics Ed. with a Kindergarten teaching certificate. I taught for 4 years in Stafford, TX (SW Houston) with the little guys until I started having my own with my husband, Mike. We married in 1991 and our daughter was born in 1995 followed by a son in 1997 and our final, a boy, in 2001.
I still like to do aerobics and step classes but I mainly love to find a walking buddy and go for long walks around the neighborhood. I thoroughly enjoy my friendships and have been fortunate to have stayed here in the same place for 15 years!! giving me time to really sink into the community and lives of those around us.
I started my own home business over a year ago, sewing window treatments and soft home furnishings in the comfort and convenience of my dining room. It is a challenge that scares me but I push through and find tons of satisfaction in the completion of my work and the profit :) I...Expand for more
now have a massive cutting table and 3 machines that are a huge boost.
My children delight my heart, soothe my soul and make me laugh.
Along with my own kids, I volunteer at church either holding the babies in the nursery or teaching a class of kindergarteners. I get a big kick out of little ones.
My husband and I enjoy watching our kids activities - competitive cheerleading, gymnastics and now football. We also like to watch extreme sports together and go out to as many of the fine restaurants as we can afford. I am a dessert freak so it doesn't take much to make me happy.
My brother is in Dallas with his family and my mom is in Estes Park. Dad didn't make it to the new century. He passed away July 20, 1999. It was a sudden thing that none of us expected. I miss him dearly.
That's a pretty general overview. I had a great time with those of you at the reunion. I'm glad we are going to do it again in 5. It felt like a real homecoming to reconnect with all of you guys.
