Dan Helgren:  

Life I grew up in Lumberton, NC and attended Tanglewood Elementary. I hung out with Jeff Kinlaw, Buddy Livingston, Jeff Fleishman, Jay Stone, Jan McCorkle, Marsha Edwards, Gerry Lindsey, Lyn and Grover Soesbee, and Myron Britt. I was best friends with all of them plus Steve Thorndyke and Larry Park. My dad's job moved us to Wilmington, NC in 1965 but I still have family there and visit very often. I am Susan Helgren Allen and Ikey Helgren's cousin. My dad was Doug Helgren who worked for Southern Bell for 26 years. I got married to Patsy Hyatt on September 2, 1973. My son, Michael was born on November 1, 1988. Patsy and I were divorced on August 14, 1993. My 2nd wife, Colleen Rynders, and I have 2 cats, 1 tuxedo and 1 tabby. I have one son, Michael, who lives with his mom, formerly Patsy Hyatt now Porter after our divorce in 1993. I am living in Casa Grande, AZ. We moved out here in November of 2003 on a transfer with Mesa Airlines from Charlotte, NC, where I was a Stores Clerk there for 2 years.
