Danny's Story
Life
Jana (Lea Edwards, YVHS, class of 1969) and I have been mostly happily married since 1971. We have 2 wonderful, adult children -- Jason (born 1975) and Leanna (born 1978). Jason is a California Highway Patrol officer, currently stationed in Ventura and living in Camarillo with his wife Jamie (ne Richardson of Yucca Valley) and our first grandchild, Eliana (born 2004). Leanna is married to Jared Turner of Riverside (and YVHS), both graduates of the University of San Diego, and the proud parents of twin boys Cy and Zayne (also born in 2004, 2 days after Eliana). Happily, both Leanna and Jamie work with me during tax season at my tax accountancy in Morongo Valley -- Kobaly Tax Service (we're on the web at kobaly.com). Jamie is due to add 2 more grandchildren to our family in Dec. 2008 -- twins again -- a boy and a girl. Don't know where all this fertility comes from, but they're all natural. ol in Yucca Valley for 12 years. Lucky for me she retired in 2006 and came to work with me also. Our jobs let us spend a lot of time during summers keeping cool in Big Bear with the kids and grandkids. It's hard to believe that we left TPHS 40 years ago, but I've sure enjoyed the trip. Flying Phantom jets for the Air Force and becoming a husband, father and grandfather have certainly been highlights. I'm currently into the spiritual and life lessons of coincidences contained in the "Celestine Prophecy", Deepak Chopra's books on "Syncrodestiny", and the "What the bleep do we know" movie. These concepts have already had a major positive impact on my life -- I only wish I could have learned them 40 years ago. My latest epiphany came through reading, listening to, and viewing "The Secret" by Rhonda Bryne. I've been especially impacted by the idea that "inner happines is the fuel of success"--just the opposite of how most of us live our lives.
